About The Author

Hi! It's me!

Hi! It's me!

Hi! My name is Roberto Lebron.

Welcome to Raising Children on Planet Earth, a no-bull, practical, myth-busting blog about raising children in the real world, and not on Planet Lala.

This is a No Whining Zone!

Here you’ll find health and wellness, values and behavior tips and information for brave, loving parents who are willing to do the hard work of raising their own children, instead of delegating their duties to others, including the government, or letting their children raise themselves. You’ll also find food for thought for peaceful, mindful, no-drama dadas and mamas.

This is a conversation among people who love and respect children. You are welcome whether you are a parent, a teacher, an aunt, an uncle or simply someone with a child in your life.

My aim here is to share with you what I have learned over the years as a teacher, both from my own experience and from colleagues and mentors.

I am a teacher, artist and writer and I’ve taught every level from Kindergarten to college in Puerto Rico — where I was born — in Venezuela, in New York and in Florida, where I live now, with the alligators.

I’m a graduate of New York University, where I studied Art Education and Studio Art; I’m also a member of Toastmasters International and Mensa, the Hi IQ Society®. I’m a father of two.

If you like what you see here, check out Raising Children on Planet Earth, available on Amazon.com in paperback and Kindle editions.

Come on in, and come back soon.

Hi Roberto! So wonderful to finally see you! You are not wearing glasses like you are in your caricature, but mostly it is the same because of the spaciousness of the forehead…LOL

Thanks for your email on 43things. I was wondering where you had gone. And I like your blog. I am a parent of one 6yr old boy and he keeps me grounded. I have too many anecdotes about how he is almost like my parent, rather I his…hahaha!

I will drop by here often.

PS my fave Miyazaki film is Kiki’s Delivery Service. I must’ve had it on constantly for a week!

  6. Hi Roberto

Looking forward to reading your blog articles, I’ve heard good things about your book.

And I’m also a studio ghibli fan, particularly Miyazaki. My Neighbour Totoro is one of my favourite films as it captures the magic and innocence of childhood so well, even if in a very nostalgic fashion!

Hi, Louisa! I visited joggingstrollers.org, but I didn’t see anything about you there. What’s your connection to the site? I used to run with my kids when they were in strollers, too! Thanks for stopping by!
